Pouffy

Jan 30, 2009

This dress is thrifted and it can be worn two ways. There are strings tied inside to make the hem look poufy and you can also undo it and wear the dress straight.

Lusting for...

Jan 26, 2009

The first time I saw these, I was not too enamored but the more I was looking at it, the more I liked it! The roses satisfy the girly in me and I've been saving up for a bag. Do you think these Louis Vuitton Monogram Roses Speedy and Neverfull look beautiful? I've been having anxiety flutters over these babies: (all photos form eluxury.com )

I've texted my Bf over this matter and his text say: "Will it make you happy if you buy that? If not you can buy it next time". The questions is, how long will LV sell this limited edition pieces?

On a boring Sunday

Jan 19, 2009

My father ordered me to go city hopping last Sunday to get away from something and effectively also saying that go somewhere where you can shop. Now how many fathers do say that? *wink* So I left my car at home, hopped on a bus and went to the capital for a new visual shopping experience. After traveling for 4 hours, I finally arrived at Greenbelt 5 which is a mall here that features high end Filipino stores. My first stop, Aranaz, is a bag boutique that me and my sister Beth loves. And here is what I bought for her:

Cute huh? I'll be sending this to her in the States. After this, I proceeded to Adora, a very elegant department store that has a lot of tempting things. I was famished so I snacked on a cappucino and a banana cheesecake. Eating in the lush interiors made me wish I had my boyfriend with me. I swear, we both love luxe interiors and shopping (lately, he's been into shopping too!). I bought this beautiful Philippine-made bangle that is made of capiz, wood and stone. But I was also thinking of giving this to my mom. I miss her.

At Zara, I found these babies on sale:

Wonderful huh? The heels are to die for. Not very easy to walk in but look super fabulous on the feet.

Stella's

Jan 15, 2009

Stella McCartney White Silk dress paired with milani rhinestone sandals. The back is very dramatic and the silhouette from the side is stunning (generally speaking, the dress and i do not mean me haha). This dress has been sitting in my closet for a while now, waiting for the right event. Sometimes, the problem with me is that I always buy dresses that are meant for parties but I never get to wear them because occasions here are really casual. And, I can't wear this to a wedding because of it's white color, the bride will kill me if i do. This dress will have to patiently wait until her moment comes. Probably waiting for a Louboutin to go with it? Just kidding. My finances are killing me already haha.

Alice in Wonderland

Jan 14, 2009

I saw this dress the first thing I walked into the doors of Beso Beso (meaning: "kiss kiss") clothing store. Very much appropriate for Spring/Summer and the black section on the waist slims down my waistline. But it has a "Alice in Wonderland" effect don't you think? Perhaps I should pair it with a different shoe. The shoes are a gift from my grandma, she's kinda cool and she loves victoria's secret haha.

Denim+Ruffles

Marc by Marc Jacobs Silk denim dress. I love the ruffles, they cascade down the back but I think this dress is meant for a much taller person.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Jan 1, 2009

2009 is here! Wishing everyone a prosperous year ahead of us. Well, it's that time of the year where everyone makes some new year's resolution. Mine is nothing so drastic but as they say, changes are sometimes very hard to make.

1. Spend on fashion more wisely. While a shopping spree on a mass produced clothing store can be quite fun, I think it's time to invest on quality rather than quantity. Classic pieces like white shirts, a pair of good jeans, some quality pearl ( or diamonds for the more wealthy) earrings and a good quality durable bag. For me, this would be the hardest resolution to make as I am an impulsive shopper. I see and I buy haha. But time for a fresh start and the money could be spent on something more important (what? where? ) or put in a bank. All of this pieces I have to buy first, I admit, as my closet is full of trendy pieces that are too much memorable to be worn again and again. I resolve to save and buy maybe a longchamp shopper's tote or a louis vuitton neverfull (i gotta start saving for this aack!) so I can, at least, have ONE good bag that will last me through the years.

2. Start taking care of my health, eat healthily and sleep early. I was hospitalized this month and the experience is not altogether nice. Also, i got sticker shock from my hospital bill. I could have bought a laptop or an LV bag :) Prevention rather than cure everyone.

3. Travel.

4. Learn to let go of stuff and sell them on ebay.

So what did you wear to ring in the new year? I wore my Pucci so I can have more this year (haha, invest!) Happy new year to all!
