I really think that 2009 is a good year for me. I got the hang of living on my own, travelled to a lot of places, had my heart broken then pieced back together again and met a lot of people who changed my life. Blog-wise, I connected with a lot of persons with similar interest in fashion and in circumspect, had a support sytem in which to share our purchases, acquisitions and showed off our "model" poses without being totally weird at all. So I say goodbye to 2009 with fondness and welcome 2010 with a joyful heart. I wish everyone in the blogging world a lot of happiness and every luck for the coming year!

Hi guys! How is everyone! Christmas is such an express train, hurtling down on us from day one. I know i haven't made an update in such a long time but here is an event I went to in the name of fashion: Philippine Fashion Week. I was invited to the show of designer Happy Andrada (thank you for the invite!) and I immensely enjoyed it, as it its my first time on a fashion show.
These are the only pictures I catched with my "low-tech' camera haha as all images that resulted are so blurry to post. As with fashion shows, this one lasted only for 20 or 30 minutes. The bf went there after, taking us to dinner. I love how bf's give space on fashion-related or anything girly related stuff haha. Only seven days till Christmas guys! Felices Navidades to all!

The salmon carpaccio salad was to die for with its unique taste. We finished every bit of this! My friend's entree was the Salmon on a bed of pasta and she tells me that this is divine as the salmon literally melts in your mouth. Mine was the short rib stew and this is quite good too. The restaurant is filled with beautiful people as it is a prime spot. Let me say that I spotted a lot of eye candies while dining and that is such a treat in itself. After all, it's my birthday heehee!
After dinner, my friend had the brilliant idea of blowing bubbles in replacement of our childhood baloons and I tell you, it's hilarious! Bonifacio High Street is actually an open air promenade of shops and restaurants with a lot of green spaces. So it was cool to just sit there and blow bubbles. A very cute kid actually came to us wanting to blow the bubbles and we had to hide the bubble wand from him to make him go home with his parents (awww, we felt bad doing that but it's 11 pm already hehe)
And last but not the least, this is my new haircut! Do I look okay in this? haha. My friends tell me I look so young (so that's why the teen kid keeps looking *thwap!) but it's a refreshing change. According to my beau, he loves it and I do too. So there, after all the disasters that happened ( our house got flooded too and I tell you post flood depression is one thing i dont wanna happen to us again), it was so nice to just go out, have fun and be in the company of someone so enjoyable.

I was so shocked to learn that I haven't updated my blog in a month! There are so many changes in my life now that blogging took a backseat. All I can say is that it is a start of a new chapter in my life with a new love and new things career-wise. I miss reading all of your entries and commenting on your beautiful, fashionable photographs. Honestly, I haven't been fashion forward during the time I wasn't blogging so I'd like to get on track, discover and reconnect with the blogs of our fashionable sisters and get inspired once again. It is so sad what happened to everyone during the storm Ketsana that it might be insensitive to post pictures of fashion when everybody is needing. So if you have time, let's offer a short prayer for the victims and if you have the resources, donate to the numerous agencies for much needed relief.

I'm guess I'm what you call as a girl's girl. I love spas, shopping and all the feminine rituals that almost all women at some point indulge. I came across an article sometime that women unconciously dress for other women, meaning, those baby doll dresses, ruffles and laces are cute to the eyes of girls and not boys. If that's the case, then, I admittedly dress for other girls. But I think these frothy confections of dresses highlights our feminine features too and some men will like it no doubt. :D I'm kinda rambling here haha, but it has been too long since I blogged and thank you, thank you for the sweet comments. Perhaps, now that the long weekend has commenced ( Friday- Sunday), I will have time to read your blogs and be inspired once again.
P.s. I'm obsessed about Longchamp bags now that I have one. Very easy to use and foldable too! And I'd like to post a very hearty shout out to my cousin who gave me a bag and I didn't realize until six months later there was a cache of Givenchy perfumes inside. Surprises are just wonderful aren't they?

Normally, I wouldn't shop at Zara because tons of girls shop there and I might suddenly have a doppelganger at a party or what you might call as "wearing the same dress". Also, the mad dash for racks and racks of clothes do scare me, making me less prone to make a purchase. But one lovely Sunday morning, I went to the mall and found Zara quite quiet. Maybe it was my mood or the fact that I just had a romantic saturday inspired me to go and take a look. After that moment, I was a convert! This dress is just one of the three I've bought (best part is they're on sale too).
Meanwhile, I also passed by Tickles, a "wasteland" full of pretty things. I bought one of their hanging accessories for my car and I leave you with its very tongue-in-cheek message. I hope no one gets offended by this but I just found it amusing. Because girls shouldn't settle for second best. Have a great day everyone!

There's something about summer that is so carefree and relaxing that I miss it so much. Nothing gets me down like a steady downpour of rain and I generally do not knwo how to transit from summer fashion to fall fashion, OR layering at least. So, I post some pictures of a summer before, with some Bossa Nova music and a Pina Colada, in remembrance of a season so enjoyable.
Have a great weekend everyone!

I think I may have writer's block combined with photographer's block (wait, is there such a thing?). The pictures I will post here are the only ones I've taken for two weeks and even my super weekend at manila was poorly chronicled. But, these pictures are very appropriate to what this post is all about: 10 facts about me
2. This Pumpkin Soup from M cafe at the Ayala museum is literally Love. It melts away all your apprehensions on the first sip, it's the ultimate comfort food! If you have a chance to dine there, try this one!
3. I do not know how to grow a plant. These water lilies are the only one who thrived by me and when food shortage comes, I don't have anything to eat but water lilies!
4. My workstation is where I spend the first hour of my morning sipping coffee and the last hour of my day. Look how messy it is :(
5. Maxi dresses are total life savers when the wail " I have nothing to wear!" emanates from my vocal cords. Much more glam when roughing it up.
7. When I like a particular song, I play it a hundred times till the ears of my neighbors bleed (omg!)
8. People keep telling me to get married already. I'm still in my 20's and I do not really mind.
9. I'd like to take a trip out of the country soon.

Do you have dresses that you just seem to buy because they are so beautiful? Well, I do, I have a pile of them in my closet. Which is a bit wee wasteful because why acquire them when they can't see daylight (or night) out of the closet? I've been always attracted to the frilly, weird and excessive kind of clothes. Maybe because I see these clothes as work of art, just waiting for the right occasion to shine. So I'm keeping them and someday, me and my clothes might just make the cut.

Yay, It's my one hudredth post! I can't believe that time flew so fast. In the time that I opened my blog for comments, I had gained a lot of inspiration reading your blogs and viewing your lovely comments. This blog has been like a diary to me and at the end of the day, blogging is something that takes off the stress of daily life. I've found support and company with all the blogs who peeks into this life and thank you also for sharing yours.
This was supposed to be my "sale attack" outfit last Saturday but with sneakers! Work interfered so I think my non smiling face has something to do with that. I'm excited to take a trip to the city this Sunday as most stores are holding their mid year sale. First stop on my list: the Great Lifestyle Sale of Bench.
It must have been nice to go have firt dibs because I have the lifestyle card but I'll take this opportunity. I've been wanting to also check the sale items of Dimensione ( I get excited by furniture these days ). Plus, I've been having wanderlust and it's a great way to check out other stores at Bonifacio High Street.

For me, this is one of my favorite clothing to wear at work. Its shapeless structure enables me to move around freely while the decent length means that I can go anywhere wearing this. Plus, it soft fabric is just what you need when things starts to go haywire at work. Just perfect for Manic Mondays.
I'd like to post a quick shout out to my younger sister: thank you for the bangles! I'm super, super lovin it. I miss my family so much and sometimes, the most delicious of all food or the best movie doesn't matter when you can't share a laugh or two with them.

(Bench T shirt, Levi's Jeans, SM dept store sandals, Chanel bag)
Today is another hot day, summerish. I think our summer here has shifted to June and the sparkly waters of the beach have never looked more inviting. I'm wearing a vintage belt that I had thrifted a few days ago for only 15 php (30 cents) and I'm coming back! It's jeans and T shirt day because of errands and the strong wind. I've experienced the Marilyn Monroe-uesqe kind of flip with the skirt and it's not funny Lol.
I'd like to thank everyone for your sweet comments and for the new followers. I know 12 isn't a big a number compared to others but I'm happy. Have a great day everyone!

I grew up listening to Michael Jackson and Madonna in the 80's. I would imitate MJ's moonwalk and dress up like the Queen of Pop. Though the recent scandals have tainted his image, it takes Death for people to realize how big a superstar is Michael Jackson. I just find it sad that for people to rediscover his music is through his tragedy. He was gone too soon I guess.
I think that morning that I had dresses unconsciously in tribute to his style. Preview magazine has recently featured the style influences of the icons of the 80's and he is one of them. The stove pipe jeans, the white dress shirts and the boots, all check.
